On Friday I was surprised by a card in my mailbox from my self-proclaimed biggest fan and "president of my fan club"! Nise is so kind and encouraging to me here on my blog and leaves the best and most amusing comments. What she doesn't know is that I'm quickly becoming HER biggest fan! Here's the great card she sent:

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Let us all remember those who have and continue to so bravely serve our country... including my very own son who is graduating high school in a few short weeks and leaves for Army Basic Training in July. I'm so proud of him!

My sewing isn't anywhere near as cool as yours, but I'm glad you enjoyed the mailbox dropping I sent your way. I did my own version of some of the "flower pot" cards for my Mom to send this weekend. Actually, I finished them up 'cause I used colored pencils and an xacto knife to prepare them for the pot I made. Not as cool as some I've seen, but certainly A LOT of work. Also did a graduation card with the wrinkle free distress technique. I will use that again.

Now that you mention it, the wrinkle free distress technique would make great graduation cards- how cool that would be to use the school colors for the background?!
